If you didn’t make it out to this year’s Customer Appreciation Day, you missed a wonderful time. The weather was just absolutely beautiful! For this being my first time of putting on such an event, I thought it went quite well. We had hamburgers and hotdogs, some people brought some other good food to pass, and Momma D’s Cafe supplied some cookies, pumpkin bread and fudge.
We sat around and talked about what is working for each other, swapped some stories, got to meet each other and just had a wonderful time. I had a display of the different bales and the colors of twine on them for identification purposes. The event was held at the farm, in the hay field next to the Christmas trees so that people could get an idea of how it all started.
I’ve got some ideas for next year but am always open to suggestions. Thanks to everyone that came out to spend the afternoon with me, my wife, my sister and brother-in-law and my Mom and Dad. So glad they were able to come out and sit a spell.
I ask God’s blessing on you for the future.

I would say to fertilize, adding great stuff to your hay fields will always be better for the animals your feeding.
I get all my hay from a guy 2 1/2 from me and I can tell the difference in fertilized hay and not.
The color looks way better and healthier for the animals eating it
